Patrick Maguire is the Energy Practice leader for McGriff Specialty. He is responsible for the strategic direction of the practice and expanding McGriff’s services to clients in the energy sector.

Maguire has worked in the insurance industry for over 19 years in various roles, including broker, producer, and national director of specialty practices.

He earned his bachelor’s degree from Marist College and MBA from Vanderbilt University. He holds the Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation.

Rob Logan is the Power and Utilities Practice leader for McGriff Specialty. He is responsible for expanding McGriff’s presence and maintaining client relationships in the conventional power and renewable energy sectors. He is also responsible for recruiting and supporting colleagues equipped to serve in this rapidly developing industry.

Logan has worked in the insurance industry for more than 22 years in various roles, including loss control engineer, risk advisor, account executive, and underwriter.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. He holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist (CRIS) designations.

David Sellars is co-director of the Executive Risk Advisors division for McGriff Specialty. He helps shape strategy for the division and oversees placement and service for many of McGriff’s largest and most complex clients.

Sellars has worked in the insurance industry for over 30 years in various roles, including senior vice president, producer, senior financial and professional liability practice leader, and executive liability broker.

He earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Georgia.

Dusty Cahill is co-director of the Executive Risk Advisors division for McGriff Specialty. He helps shape strategy for the division and oversees placement and service for many of McGriff’s largest and most complex clients.

His expertise includes directors and officers liability, employment practices liability, fiduciary liability, errors and omissions insurance, crime insurance, and kidnap and ransom coverage.

Cahill earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia.

Scott Richards is the Transportation Practice Leader for McGriff Specialty. He is responsible for expanding McGriff’s presence and maintaining client relationships in the transportation and logistics industries.

Scott has more than 35 years of experience in the insurance industry in various roles, including casualty underwriter, broker, and managing director.

Robert Drew is president of McGriff Specialty. He is responsible for top-line growth through specialty and vertical development, front-line sales leadership and recruiting, and national sales initiatives, while overseeing client relationship development, client experience, and client retention and acquisition. He also leads the McGriff Specialty Construction practice.

Drew has worked in the insurance industry for over 30 years and held various roles, including producer, construction leader, and president.

He earned his bachelor’s degree from Auburn University.

Johnny Fontenot is the Public Entity Practice leader for McGriff Specialty. He is responsible for leading a team of specialists serving tax-supported institutions; city, state, county, parish, and town governments; K-12 schools; colleges and universities; special districts; and nonprofit agencies.

Fontenot has worked in the insurance industry for more than 35 years, with a primary focus on the public sector.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in management marketing from McNeese State University. He holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Associate in Risk Management (ARM), and Associate in Claims (AIC) designations.

Milton Smith is the Surety Practice Leader for McGriff Specialty. His primary responsibility is to lead McGriff’s surety operations and drive the overall growth of our surety practice.

Smith has worked in the insurance industry for over 30 years in various roles, including senior underwriter and senior vice president.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in finance and marketing from the University of Alabama. He holds the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist (CRIS) designations.

Paul Cicerchia is the Real Estate and Hospitality Practice leader for McGriff Specialty. He is responsible for expanding McGriff’s presence and maintaining client relationships in the real estate and hospitality industries.

Cicerchia has worked in the insurance industry for over 20 years in various roles, including practice leader for real estate and hospitality at another major broker. He’s also served as risk manager of a large real estate private equity firm and a client executive focused on real estate, hospitality, and development and construction.

He earned his bachelor’s degree from Union College and his MBA from the Boston College Carroll School of Management.

Erik Zentler is the Aviation Practice leader for McGriff Specialty. He is responsible for expanding McGriff’s presence and maintaining client relationships in the aviation and aerospace industries.

Zentler has worked in the insurance industry for more than 20 years, with experience in marketing, negotiations, program structure, policy and contract review, benchmarking, and market cycle analysis and modeling.

He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington.

Ernie Leist is the Marine Practice leader for McGriff Specialty. He is responsible for leading a team of dedicated marine insurance specialists serving large clients in complex international shipping, transportation, offshore energy, and global logistics.

Leist has worked in the insurance industry for more than 14 years, and global energy and marine operations for more than 15 years.

He earned his bachelor’s degree from the Texas A&M Maritime Academy.

Mike Welz is the Senior Living Practice leader for McGriff Specialty. He sets the strategy for the practice and oversees risk management and financing programs for senior care clients. He also co-leads Marsh McLennan Agency’s National Healthcare Practice.

Welz has worked in the insurance industry for more than 11 years and has held various roles, including consultant and producer.

He earned his bachelor’s degree from La Salle University.

Matt Little is the Atlanta office leader for McGriff Specialty. He oversees operational strategy and execution across the Atlanta market, works to scale the office’s capabilities, and empowers teams to create tailored solutions that increase client value.

Little has worked in the insurance industry for more than 25 years and served in several roles, including producer and area executive.

He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia.

Eric Getty is the Birmingham office leader for McGriff Specialty. He oversees operational strategy and execution across the Birmingham market, works to scale the office’s capabilities, and empowers teams to create tailored solutions that increase client value.

Getty has more than 20 years of experience supporting the insurance industry, including eight years in direct industry roles and prior experience as a partner at a large regional law firm.

He earned his bachelor’s degree from Auburn University and his juris doctor from the University of Georgia School of Law. 

John Marshall is the Dallas office leader for McGriff Specialty. He oversees operational strategy and execution across the Dallas market, works to scale the office’s capabilities, and empowers teams to create tailored solutions that increase client value.

Marshall has worked in the insurance industry for more than 20 years in various roles, including producer, property practice leader, and chief operating officer.

He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Mississippi.

Braxton Watson is the Houston office leader for McGriff Specialty. He oversees operational strategy and execution across the Houston, Louisiana, and Arkansas markets, works to scale the office’s capabilities, and empowers teams to create tailored solutions that increase client value.

Watson has worked in the insurance industry for more than 15 years in various roles, including retail brokerage and commercial underwriting.

He earned his bachelor’s degree and MBA from St. Mary’s University.
